Online Working Meeting of the ResilienceBuilders Project Partners

16.10.2026

On 16 October 2026, we held another online working meeting as part of the international ResilienceBuilders project, bringing together representatives of the partner teams from Belgium, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the project’s progress, assess the implementation of commitments made so far, and agree on the next steps, responsibilities, and deadlines for activities in each partner country.

A key focus of the discussion was the preparation of the needs assessment of the target groups, which represents an important first stage of the project. We reviewed the questionnaires developed so far, the guidelines for conducting focus groups and individual interviews, and the importance of adapting the research tools to the specific characteristics and contexts of each participating country.

We also discussed ethical considerations related to data collection, the organisation of the upcoming research activities, and ways to reach the different groups of participants. Another important topic was the development of a shared library of existing practical tools, methodologies, and good practices that could support the project’s future activities.

The ResilienceBuilders – Equipping Educators to Address and Prevent Transgressive Behaviour project is supported by the Erasmus+ programme and aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of teachers, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities, including those in vocational education and training (VET). At the heart of the project is the understanding that responding appropriately to behaviour that crosses personal, social, or sexual boundaries requires consideration of each young person’s individual characteristics, needs, and developmental level.

Through research, exchange of experience, identification and adaptation of existing tools, and the development of practical training activities, we aim to support professionals in their everyday work. Our goal is to equip them with greater knowledge, confidence, and practical approaches to recognising, preventing, and responding to challenging situations.

In the long term, the project seeks to contribute to creating safer, more supportive, and inclusive environments where young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, can develop their communication skills and learn to understand and respect personal boundaries.

The Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA) is a partner in the project, contributing its experience and expertise in sexuality and health education, violence prevention, and working with vulnerable groups. More on the project.
