Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of BFPA.
Volunteer of the BFPA since 2015. She has more than 25 years experience in the field of public health. As a professor of ‘Social Medicine and Organization of Health Care’, she realizes her scientific interests in the field of health problems of vulnerable groups of the population, including Roma and migrants. As head of a department and vice-rector of the Medical University – Pleven, she has extensive administrative experience and in-depth knowledge in the field of conducting scientific research, the organization of health systems, prevention and health promotion, etc.
Her experience in planning, management and evaluation of projects in the field of health care has been gained in her capacity as a researcher and manager of a number of scientific and research projects, including under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
She graduated with honors from the Medical University – Pleven, with master’s degrees in Medicine and Health Management. She holds two majors: ‘Social Medicine and Health Management’ and ‘Healthcare Economics’. She successfully defended two dissertations on the topics ‘Risk Factors for the Birth of Premature Children and Their Impact on the Health and Social Needs in the Development of Children Up to 3 Years of Age’ and ‘Health of Migrants and the Roma Ethnic Group in Bulgaria: Medical and Social Aspects’.
