Borislava Ivanova

Assistant in the Department of ‘Social Medicine and Health Management’ (from 2022); Master of Health Care Management at the Medical University of Pleven (2021–2023); Bachelor’s degree ‘Social Activities’ at the University of Veliko Tarnovo ‘St. St. Cyril and Methodius’ (1996-2000); midwife – specialty from the Medical University in Pleven (2002–2005); master’s degree in health management at the ‘Dimitar Tsenov’ Academy of Economics in Svishtov (2018–2020).

From 2017 until now, I am currently participating in various projects of BFPA: ‘Ensuring access to health care in the field of sexual and reproductive health’; ‘Continuing the activity of the Regional Center for Disabilities-Pleven’ (2019-2021); ‘I want to know’ – HIV/AIDS counseling and testing and holding informational events for the prevention of HIV/AIDS and STIs in the Pleven region (2019–2022). From 2021, I participate as a volunteer at the Bulgarian Red Cross – Pleven.
My scientific interests are in the field of medico-social problems and organization of health care for priority groups of the population. I am also interested in topics related to prevention and health promotion among vulnerable groups, promotion of dental health and organization of dental care, organization and management of health care, pedagogical aspects of medical education, health inequalities.
