Reports of Abuse in the Online Space Constantly Increasing

A useful workshop of the members of the Learning Action Partnership was held on January 28, 2025. New members of the group were also present, who unanimously defined the event as valuable and useful for exchanging experiences. Information was presented on the progress of the projects ‘Youth in the Digital World – Critical Thinking against Disinformation’ and ‘Digital Children’. The program included presentations and analyses from different perspectives on key topics of the professional group. With regret and concern, we noted that the reported cases of abuse in the online space are constantly increasing.

With our work, we contribute to raising the awareness of young people, teachers and parents about the potential real dangers that their children can and do encounter on the Internet. In addition to a summary of what we have achieved so far, we also made a brief overview of what is to come. Colleagues shared valuable experience and information on activities carried out on various projects, results of research and analysis, as well as activities to counter disinformation. A discussion followed the presentation of the work of several new organizations to the Partnership. The topics discussed were disinformation and online harassment, media literacy, and science festivals.
