Project of BFPA and ‘St. Sofia’ Hospital – final meeting
School for parents in the hospital and educational health sessions in the districts increased the reached vulnerable beneficiaries up to 10 000.
Volunteers from the Roma community were involved and groups for self-help and support in the neighborhoods Hristo Botev, Filipovtsi, Orlandovtsi, Fakulteta, Zaharna Fabrika, Bakarena Fabrika and Malashevtsi were formed in order to reach more successfully the target groups.
One of the specific aims of the project was to raise awareness of the representatives of the target group on their health insurance rights and responsibilities as patients.
Availability to meet and talk with medical teams on different topics to increase the health culture, help and support for a good parenting for people in risk was assured accordingly.
The project is realized in the period September 2015 – February 2017 on BG07 “Initiatives for public health” programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
