Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova, executive director of BFPA, on possible solutions to the demographic crisis

How can the problem of the demographic crisis be solved?
Statistics show that over the past 10 years, over 340,000 Bulgarians have left the country, and the population of our country has decreased by 800,000 people.

“This conversation comes up seriously once every 10 years, when the census is over. People choose not to have more than one or two, very rarely get to three children, this is due to a package of usually some economic reasons. Bulgarians are born, but they are born in another place. That is, people migrate, go to live in another place and carry out their reproductive plans outside”, commented Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova, executive director of the Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA).
