Is sexual education taboo in schools?

“Bulgarian Association for Family Planning and Sexual Health is aimed at everyone – those we call ordinary and the extraordinary – those who are in a more difficult situation and need support”.

This was explained by Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova, executive director of the Bulgarian Association for Family Planning and Sexual Health, founding member of the National Network of Health Mediators for the problems of Roma women, in the program “The Fine Print” on Darik Radio.

She pointed out that there is an educational standard in the law on school and pre-school education, which is civic, intercultural and health education. “In what form health education will be taught depends on the good will, desire and enlightenment of the director and teachers in the respective school”, added Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova.
