Influencers Spoke Openly with Students from Silistra About Sexual Health
A meeting with 9th and 10th grade students, dedicated to sexual and reproductive health, was held in Silistra as part of the national campaign of the Bulgarian Family Planning Association (BFPA). The initiative was implemented with the support of the Regional Health Inspectorate – Silistra and the Municipal Council on Narcotic Substances.

Popular influencers Viki and Elyasa took part in the discussion, engaging with young people on important topics related to health education, responsible behavior, and family planning.
“The campaign is now being conducted for a third consecutive academic year, covering major schools across the country and bringing together students from different age groups,” explained Ralitsa Zgalevska from BFPA. According to her, the involvement of influencers aims to create a more accessible and relatable way to address sensitive topics with young people.
The main focus of the initiative is on prevention and informed choice – the use of protective measures and reducing the risk of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Specialists emphasized that some of these infections can be asymptomatic but may lead to serious health problems in the future.
During the meeting, interactive methods were also used, including demonstrations that illustrated the importance of preventive measures and showed that timely awareness is key to maintaining good health.
The initiative is part of BFPA’s ongoing efforts to improve health literacy among young people and to encourage responsible behavior and informed decision-making.
