The Sex as a Cause for 30 Years. 5 stotinki podcast: a Talk with Ventzislav Kirkov from BFPA
Ventsi Kirkov from Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA). BFPA recently celebrated 30 years, and on this occasion we remembered an episode with their boss Dr. Rada Stamenkova, which we recorded back in season 2. We asked them if they wanted to repeat and here we are – today we present to you another member of this epic collective, with whom we talked about the topics that have been bothering them for three decades – sexual health, minorities, marginalized groups, prisons, demographic issues etc. Venzi also doesn’t have much of a ‘mouth strainer’ and the stories he tells sound too realistic.

In the episode you will hear about:
Reproductive health as a part of a social enterprise model
How attitudes change in Roma communities and how ‘learned helplessness’ is created
What is it – a health mediator
What happens in prisons in Bulgaria
About how not to think superficially about the demographic crisis.
But you’ll also find out:
What is the role of a disco DJ in condom marketing?
How to communicate the topic of family planning with the local hodja
How much does the mother-in-law weigh in a Roma house
Why are there entire villages in Vidin that prefer to be insured in Romania
Are condoms on the “ban list” for prison
5 stotinki: This territory is too small for us to do things together, whatever they are. As long as we chased people away from the country of the offended.
Happy listening/watching!
