Farewell, Bobby! We Will Miss You So Much!
It is with profound sorrow and sadness that we share the news that on November 1, 2026, our dearest colleague and friend Boyan Mladenov passed away unexpectedly.
He was a person with a strong and genuine presence that filled our office so effortlessly and naturally that it is difficult to imagine our everyday lives without him from now on… For all of us at the Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA), Bobby was an inseparable part of our team, our conversations, our laughter, and all the small and significant moments we shared over the years. He was someone we could always count on for support.
Bobby was a person of boundless interests, remarkable knowledge, and endless curiosity. An avid reader, a passionate film and music enthusiast, and a lover of science fiction, Japanese animation, and British humour. We could talk with him for hours about almost anything, and he always had something interesting, unexpected, or amusing to share. He possessed that rare combination of intelligence, humour, and human warmth that made every conversation with him a genuine pleasure.
But Bobby’s most precious quality was his kindness. He was a man with a big heart – loyal and caring, always thoughtful towards his loved ones, towards us, his colleagues, towards people whose paths crossed his, whether by chance or not, and towards animals in need of attention and care. Behind his jokes, distinctive gestures, and unmistakable sense of humour was an exceptionally sensitive and kind soul.
Our office already feels unusually quiet. We are all deeply devastated. It is hard to accept that Bobby is no longer with us. We will miss our conversations with him, his insights, his jokes, his smile, and the care he showed for every member of our team. We will miss his powerful voice and the comforting feeling of having him as part of our small team.
The void Bobby leaves behind is immense.
We will remember him with love and gratitude, and through the countless stories we will continue to share with one another. Because people like him leave a mark that never fades.
May your journey be filled with light, dear Bobby! We love you. And we will truly miss you.
