I Decide: a global campaign to promote equitable access to family planning services for women and girls everywherе

The Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA) supports the efforts of the global campaign #IDecide for equitable access of all girls and women to health care and services of family planning.

• Early births make the girls dropping out of school and extremely limit their chances for a better life.
• Every woman has the right to know how to keep her reproductive health and to decide how to plan her family.
• Poverty without education reproduces poverty.
• Let’s make possible people from vulnerable communities to have access to information and family planning services.

The initiative of BFPA includes young people from different cities in Bulgaria – so that to make possible the messages of the campaign to reach more people in Bulgaria.

The Global Initiative I Decide started in the month of May 2017

– For a year, 85 million women and girls will be forced into pregnancy because they’re denied contraceptive care – that’s everyone in Germany being pregnant at the same time.
– Every government can give every woman the contraceptive care she needs for less than $2 a month.
– Forced pregnancy will kill more than 300,000 women for a year – that’s the entire population of Venice.
– If you’re poor, by being denied contraceptive care – you’re five times more likely to be forced into pregnancy.
