Young People Care about the Health of People from their Community

“Better a small tomato than a pill!”
This is what is written on the badges of the young motivated and ambitious volunteers from the “Alternative Mother Center” Association in Byala Slatina, who on April 16 measured the blood sugar and blood pressure of 110 people. The local leader Mr. Dimitrov has provided his office for this public activity. We from BFPA supported the initiative with materials that were distributed to everyone who decided to take responsibility on their health.

This campaign is the second for the people of Byala Slatina and is implemented as one of the activities within our LYRA project with the active leading role of the health mediator there, Mirena Bocheva. Young people study medical specialties, so this participation is not only a help to people of the community for them, but also a practice.
