Anina Chileva

Anina Chileva is a long-time consultant and trainer in the field of health and sexuality education (HSE). At the beginning of her career, she was a member of the national team working on the project ‘Health-Enhancing Schools’ at the National Center for Public Health Protection. Since 2000, she has been the coordinator of the WHO component for training young people for the project ‘Deploying the National Reproductive Health Program’, funded by the United Nations Population Fund and implemented by the Ministry of Health. From 2003 to 2015, she was a long-term consultant for Component 7 of the ‘HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control’ program, funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis. She is the author of many publications in scientific journals and co-author of several health education manuals, including the head of the author team of the school program on sexuality and reproductive health, intended for students in grades 5-8 ‘ABC for You and for Me’. She has conducted a number of trainings for trainers, peer educators, teachers and students in sexuality and health education for projects funded by the UNFPA, the Global Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.
