Prisons without Risk – trainings on legal topics for staff and inmates in the prison in Sliven
The team implemented the educations during the two days was: Ivana Murdjeva, lawyer, Ventzislav Kirkov, Daniela Dikova from BFPA and Milen Chavrov from Hope Against AIDS Foundation, supported by Prof. Radka Argirova and Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova. Part of the team was also the Roma health mediator from Sliven municipality – Natasha Todorova. Opportunity for anonymous testing and counseling on HIV, hepatitis C and hepatitis B was given to the participants of the trainings.
The project’s duration is 14 months (March 2015 – April 2016). Its aim is to improve the health status of persons serving sentence of “imprisonment” and detainees through active re-socializing activities related to the provision of services and information to improve health awareness of vulnerable communities in prisons in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora and Sliven.
