Expert Visit and Three-day Training on Quality of Management for Professionals Working with Young People with Learning Disabilities

The work of the participants included defining goals, sub goals and terms for improving the work of the organizations on questions, connected with reproductive health and improving the lifestyle and health, as well prevention of sexual abuse. During the second day of the working visit German educator and the representatives of BFPA were in the Day Center for Children with disabilities where they were shown good practices for working with target groups. The seminar also included interactive methods of work, aiming to provoke the participants to analyze and to look together for decisions and to comprehend problematic situations from different points of view. The representatives of the two institutions worked on cases in groups and had role plays oriented to improvement of their work of professionals working with young people with special educational needs. Methods for working with parents of such people were also presented. In the end of the initiative the participants from Kazanlak were given Quality Seal certificates.
The three-day education on quality of management for professionals  is part of the initiatives on Keep me Safe project  , implemented for Bulgaria by BFPA with the partnership of  German nongovernmental organization Pro Familia.
Perdita Wingerter is a specialist on developing social and intercultural skills and empowerment, long life education, leadership and development of sustainable strategies in different areas. From BFPA participation in the three-day education took: the Executive Director Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova, the Manager of Family Planning consultative Centers and Consultant Daniela Dikova, the Programme Manager Ventzislav Kirkov and the Coordinator of the project Keep me Safe for Bulgaria Ralitsa Zgalevska.
