‘Digital Children’ at the 12th National Conference on Global Education
With our project “Digital Children”, we presented BFPA at the 12th National Conference on Global Education “Education for Health: For Every Child, Every School, Every Community”. The event took place on October 24 and 25 at the “Morska Gara” Congress Center, Burgas.

Within the framework of a special workshop, the BFPA team conducted training for 35 young people from Burgas schools. We told the participants in the forum about the activities, achievements and benefits of this project of ours, implemented jointly with the National Network for Children and the Parents Association in Consortium as part of our efforts to make possible the existence of a National Safer Internet Center.
In front of more than 50 teachers from Burgas and the region, we presented the specially developed manual for parents and educators, data from the work of the National Safer Internet Center, short videos with interpreted personal stories from the hotline 124 123, as well as other training materials. We shared experience from the trainings conducted with young people and announced the upcoming final meeting with the project participants in November this year.

The twelfth edition of the National Conference on Global Education was organized by the Bulgarian Platform for International Development (BPID) in partnership with Medicines Du Mond – Bulgaria and the Municipality of Burgas. The forum brought together representatives of institutions, schools, non-governmental organizations and educational experts from all over the country, who discussed the topic of health education as a key element for the well-being and development of young people.
BFPA actively participated not only by providing training during the Digital Children workshop, but also by participating in panel discussions and moderating individual sessions, presenting its activities on the topics of health, sexual and digital education.
Participation in the conference was another opportunity to share good practices and continue the dialogue with our partners in the field of education and health prevention – with the common goal of supporting young people in building knowledge, skills and confidence for informed choices and a safe presence in the digital world.
